Shawn D. Lovings

Shawn D. Lovings received his Bachelor of Arts from Jackson State University in Advertising & Communication with a strong emphasis in the Arts. Mr. Lovings has a profound gift of socialization and communication and is wholly committed to providing individuals and teams with comprehensive strategies in support of business goals and objectives. Along with an affinity for great ideas suited for the entrepreneurial environment in which small businesses operate; Mr. Lovings has a sincere zeal for client care and service.

In 1998 Mr. Lovings entered into the Wine Industry as an on-site Account Executive for United Distributors of Georgia and was a dynamic force in creating integrated marketing and sales programs for the food and beverage business. He transitioned from his Account Executive position in the Wine Industry to an Executive position with Upscale Magazine where Mr. Lovings managed six (6) states comprised of Advertising Agencies and Corporations; as well as successfully managing a number of ad placements and co-branded marketing programs.

With the decline in the advertising business after the devastation of September 11th, Mr. Lovings made the decision to begin his own company in 2003 making him the CEO and Founder of Core Consulting and Marketing Group (CCMG), bringing with him an impressive list of contact and clients such as Gallo Winery, Moet Hennessy, Jack Daniels, General Motors, Lincoln-Mercury, Images USA and Black Entertainment Television (BET). Being the driving force behind the development of CCMG’s objectives, policies and initiatives for short and long term goals; Mr. Lovings also handles the role of General Manager for one of his clients, Uptown Magazine for Metro Atlanta, directing brand management, business development, image consultant, wardrobe consultant, marketing, sales and circulation.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Lovings also takes the time to be a substitute teacher for the Clayton County School System which enables him to stay connected with our community’s most precious commodity, our children, staying current with their thoughts and ideas in order to effectively guide and mentor. One of the ways he carries this out is by his own personal style and promoting the importance of a professional image. As the winner of the 2006 Best Dressed Man in American for Esquire Magazine, Mr. Lovings uses this accomplishment as a tool to guide young adults to recognize that style does matter in a business environment.

Mr. Lovings is faithful in giving back to the community being actively involved in a number of organizations by volunteering his time to Hands on Atlanta and Hosea Feed the Hungry. He is the Marketing and Advertising Director for KingStreets, LLC, an economic community and human development web portal which provides references, resources and support to everyone as well as an active board member of Mothers Rebuilding Atlanta and a Fundraiser and Sponsorship Chairperson for the National Black Arts Festival which is a perfect fit for Mr. Lovings who truly loves and appreciates the Arts.
